the way to find out why thunderbird refuses to log into IMAP is, apparently, this:

$ export MOZ_LOG=IMAP:5,timestamp MOZ_LOG_FILE=thunderbirdlog
$ thunderbird

(it didn't like it that the certificate for imaps:// has expired and chose to not surface this fact in any way whatsoever)

I installed i386 on a old, totally wrecked, Thinkpad iSeries 1200 with only 64MB of RAM. I had some previous experience with OpenBSD, so it was mostly painless. I'm still jealous of BSD's ifconfig(8) and especially the /etc/ifconfig.<interface_name> configuration system ❤️

I'm not disappointed by the result, it still could be used as a semi dumb terminal for ssh(1). The memory usage is low because I deactivated all services but cron(8); it may be lower with a tailored kernel, but I don't mind 🙂

Ctrl+C now works as expected in to copy the selection into the clipboard.

The primary selection was the only method supported to copy text from the page (select with left button to copy, paste with middle button).

Both methods are now available. 🥳

A major FOIA win by FPF debunks the Trump administration's excuse for deporting Venezuelans and rolling back DOJ’s rules protecting journalists and sources.

The now-public memo it called a “threat” just contradicted its narrative.

Watch Lauren Harper explain.
