I am a technical product manager who likes to be the ‘glue’ in sticky technical situations and figure out how to come out of it with useful and usable software. I’m based in San Francisco but I also have years of experience working in Asia and Europe, and can navigate time zones / remote teams / cultures / communication styles. I have experience in working in open source.

한국 국회의원들이 캄보디아에 군사적 개입을 해야 한다고 헛소리를 하니까 태국 사람들이 굉장히 반가워하는(...) 반응이 보여서 생각이 많아짐 이제 주변국들이 보기에는 한국은 외부로 투사할 화력이 있는 지역강국이라서 앞으로 갈수록 우리의 의도랑 상관없이 다른 동네 싸움에서 편을 들어 달라는 요구를 많이 받을 것 같다...

​最近あるデザイナーの求人を見て、少し驚きました。 仕事内容はWebサイトやDTPデザイン全般。医学教育関連、美容製品、美術作品、TV番組のタイトルロゴなど幅広い分野に関わる内容にもかかわらず、時給は東京都の最低賃金である1,163円。 仮に1日8時間、月20日働いても月収は約18万6,000円。ここから税金や社会保険料を差し引けば、実質的な手取りは生活ギリギリです。 企業側も経営的に厳しいのかもしれません。 とはいえ、Illustrator・Photoshop・HTML・CSS・JavaScriptといった複数ツールとスキルを求めながら、この報酬設定では、そもそも優秀な人材が集まる

생각 외로 괜찮은 영화였는데 극장 개봉 못한건 좀 아쉬워보인다. 추석 시즌에 개봉 했으면 그래도 꽤나 먹히지 않을까 싶었는데 넷플릭스가 가져간 데에는 다 이유가 있겠지…

One of the things we need to be really clear on: the GOP and Trump are mining our history in order to build an updated Jim Crow. Our past history is going to be very instructive on this point. I wrote about that here for Dame.

Vaclav Havel made a point in Power of the Powerless that dictatorships need to be understood in terms of their own historicity: they came from somewhere. Our budding dictatorship of course resembles the state-level dictatorships that were sprinkled around this country.

The difference is that now, they're also trying to seed it from the top. It creates many more challenges, but we also have certain assets in how we can resist it -- if we don't let politicians lose their nerve and decide that accommodation is the way to go.
