把他當下震驚了。

약간 불운한 악재는 AI테크 주도의 반도체 슈퍼사이클이 들어와서 반도체 가격이 굉장히 부풀어오른 시기인 점 정도. 그런데 그 악재 빼더라도 어느 층에 소구력이 있을지는 잘 모르겠다. 스팀의 게임에 관심이나 매력을 느끼고 있는 사람이면서 데탑이나 랩톱을 갖고 있지 않은 경우는 별로 없을 거 같은데. 거치식 게임기와 같은 느낌으로 놓을 수 있다는 점에서 추가 하드웨어로써의 수요를 쳐다볼 수도 있는 걸까? 그냥 순전히 잘 모르겠음.

스팀박스, 시기적으로는 충분히 무르익은 타이밍에 시도하는 걸로 느껴짐. 더 이상은 머신이 3년쯤 지났다고 새로 나오는 타이틀들의 실행이 대부분 버겁거나 하지 않다. 이런 타이밍에 PC가 '플랫폼 하드웨어' 같은 걸 시도하는 건 어찌 보면 자연스러운 것일지도 모른다. 환경의 변화에 기여하는 것은 크게 두 가지 측면인데, 하나는 순수하게 하드웨어 성능의 브레이크스루가 더뎌진 것, 두 번째는 그렇게 늘어난 하드웨어 성능을 활용하는 타이틀은 개발 코스트가 뛰어올라 아무 데에서나 시도하기 어렵기 때문에 기피되기 시작한 것.

【BUILT-IN PRO 電器專門店特約】台中市神岡區一片稻田長期受雀鳥啄食影響收成，農戶5至6年前突發奇想，將傳統稻草人全面升級為「鬼修女」，結果不但阻嚇效果遠超預期，更成為當地特色景觀。

這批「鬼修女稻草人」戴着白色哭臉面具，披上黑色長袍，表情猙獰，形象逼人。農田負責人母親表示，以往收割期經常遭麻雀侵襲，損失嚴重，因此嘗試以鬼修女造型稻草人替代傳統款式，結果「連麻雀都嚇到不敢靠近」，遂沿用至今。

附近居民笑言，看到鬼修女現身便知稻田進入收成期。然而晚上經過，見到稻草人隨風搖晃的剪影，往往會被嚇一跳。多年風吹雨打，面具出現褪色與破損，更添詭魅氣氛。
如今，這批守護稻田的「鬼修女」，已成神岡區獨特地標，不少旅客與網民紛紛表示想親眼見識其「驅鳥神功」。

General principles for the use of AI at CERN

Artificial intelligence (AI) can be found at CERN in many contexts: embedded in devices, software products and cloud services procured by CERN, brought on-site by individuals or developed in-house. Following the approval of a CERN-wide AI strategy, these general principles are designed to promote the responsible and ethical use, development and deployment (collectively “use”) of AI at CERN. They are technology neutral and apply to all AI technologies as they become available. The principles apply across all areas of CERN’s activities, including: AI for scientific and technical research: data analysis, anomaly detection, simulation, predictive maintenance and optimisation of accelerator performance or detector operations, and AI for productivity and administrative use: document drafting, note taking, automated translation, language correction and enhancement, coding assistants, and workflow automation. General Principles  CERN, members of its personnel, and anyone using CERN computing facilities shall ensure that AI is used in accordance with the following principles: Transparency and explainability: Document and communicate when and how AI is used, and how AI contributes to specific tasks or decisions. Responsibility and accountability: The use of AI, including its impact and resulting outputs throughout its lifecycle, must not displace ultimate human responsibility and accountability.   Lawfulness and conduct: The use of AI must be lawful, compliant with CERN’s internal legal framework and respect third-party rights and CERN’s Code of Conduct. Fairness, non-discrimination, and “do no harm”: AI must be used in a way that promotes fairness and inclusiveness and prevents bias, discrimination and any other form of harm. Security and safety: AI must be adequately protected to reduce the likelihood and impact of cybersecurity incidents. AI must be used in a way that is safe, respects confidentiality, integrity and availability requirements, and prevents negative outcomes.  Sustainability: The use of AI must be assessed with the goal of mitigating environmental and social risks and enhancing CERN's positive impact in relation to society and the environment. Human oversight: The use of AI must always remain under human control. Its functioning and outputs must be consistently and critically assessed and validated by a human.  Data privacy: AI must be used in a manner that respects privacy and the protection of personal data. Non-military purposes: Any use of AI at CERN must be for non-military purposes only.
