Use Trusted Publishing instead of long-lived PyPI tokens. For other things, here's how to use 1Password with direnv to set secrets in env vars.

To debug my fibre networking issue I got a second UDM SE to rule out any hardware issues. I’m now ready to sell it on.

Is someone in the market for a brand new UDM SE in Germany? Used for about an hour total.

I paid 550€, I’d be happy to drop it to 499€ and shipping is on me.

aaaand.... my own uptime monitoring service is now live at mongers.uptime.is

is scheduling and running checks which are done using good old tools such as ping, drill and . multiple locations are possible using @mullvadnetMullvad VPN SOCKS5 proxies.

it's what I have been using myself for a couple of years, but with a simple web-form to create checks.

I intend to keep it running along uptime.is

it's also what is monitoring babb.no mastodon instance: mongers.uptime.is/check/113d64

When the UK's new nuclear power plant Hinkley Point C starts to produce power in 2030, its guaranteed 'strike price' will have risen to ~150 £/MWh (170 €/MWh). Average wholesale electricity prices will probably be around half of that, so that's a 50% subsidy.
At an annual production of 25 million MWh (3.2 GW in baseload), I'd say that's £1.9 billion per year in subsidies.
