Decided to set kern.securelevel on my FreeBSD test VM from -1 to 3, and well ... it did not disappoint.
Nothing permanent, but still funny to see even root unable to e.g. disable the PF firewall or load kernel modules at all. 😂

It's telling people they're too weak-minded to learn how to program and accomplish meaningful work using their own brains, so they need Big Tech to (expensively) do it for them! This type of email feeds into the hopes and dreams of emerging authors. There is NO WAY someone like Rebecca Yarros knows about me: a self-published author who's never ranked higher than #84 (once) on Amazon.

If we think of AI as a spam generation technology, OpenAI deploying them for in-app advertisements makes perfect sense. You don't need an ad agency writing copy for you, you just A/B test the world on incoherent ramblings until you find something that makes numbers go brrr.
