On the evening of my favorite holiday of the season, I say this — if this holiday doesn’t spark joy for you: please, re-invent it. For me, it’s about traditions — but that could be a tradition that you’re starting this year, with nobody more than yourself.

It also doesn’t have to be about traditions — find something it can mean for you (and it can mean nothing and just be a day and that’s okay!)

I just don’t want people unhappy due to past baggage. This day should be joyful, even if quietly.
