@davefischer Do you happen to have a writeup of this anywhere? It's quite relevant to my fvwm interests (I too have a baroque and extremely custom fvwm-based X environment that will be extremely painful to give up if Wayland ever makes me).

@davefischer I've usually done this via Xterm keybindings – it has a built-in action to spawn itself, and automatically detects the child shell's cwd.
