Like others, I received a cease and desist letter [2] from Cloud Innovation regarding Emmanuel Vitus' Medium article "AFRINIC: Hope, Hijack, and the Harsh Lessons of African Multistakeholderism". 1/

A partial screenshot of a formal letter on Albert Sellars LLP letterhead dated July 8, 2025, addressed to Ian Phua of Cloud Innovation Ltd in Seychelles. The sender is Kendra Albert, a partner at Albert Sellars LLP. The letter responds to a July 2 demand titled “DEMAND FOR IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OF DEFAMATORY ARTICLE AND CESSATION OF FURTHER DISTRIBUTION.” Albert notes the firm represents Dr. Joseph Lorenzo Hall. The letter critiques the July 2 demand for being vague and overly urgent, suggesting it appears intended to intimidate rather than raise legitimate legal concerns.
