Anyone had much success running long context prompts through local LLMs? On my M2 64GB Mac I'm finding that longer prompts take an unreasonably long time to process, am I holding it wrong? Any models or serving platforms I should try out that might respond reasonably quickly?

Did you know you can mix several ingredients together to make something that resembles bread, but isn't bread, but don't worry it's high protein for some reason, because you convinced yourself that this will finally be the thing that fixes you, but you still feel like the same person and now you're also more gassy, you're just exhausted from trying to be someone else, why does this feel wrong, why can't you just be, existing is hard enough and now you just want a soft fluffy buttered roll, but then you would be a failure and everyone else might notice you're a failure and then who would love you?

When I was a kid, my parents weren't home much. I would get home from school, fix myself something to eat and tune into PBS to watch Dr. Who. My schedule plus the nature of broadcast TV meant that I got to see most of some of the stories. Luckily, I just discovered that all the classic episodes are on Tubi! #DrWho #tv #genx #scifi
Having always been the guy behind the camera, I have now stepped IN FRONT of the wretched thing. My big project for 2025 is to start learning how to tell stories with video. Here's my first attempt, taking its start in complex math established in 1905, the evolution of its practical application into stuff we use every day on our computers. Be warned, it's about 10m 30s long.
