A lot of the discussion is about trans women, and it's understandable since they're the bigger target of TERFs, but I worry we're going to see a lot of claims starting to come out about 'men invading women's spaces' from a whole other angle soon

@babetits romney as you probably already know, the point of these bans is ultimately to just plain ban us from public spaces:
Going into the correct bathroom requires we pass and perform well enough to not arouse suspicion
Going into the legally required bathroom when presenting in any way is an instant do not pass go do not collect $200 because they’re going to potentially assault us or call security right away anyway (esp true for trans men, while trans women are more at risk of misogynistic assault)
Both situations put us at significant risk of sexual assault.
And the fucking TERFs can’t tell a cis woman from a sack of potatoes, much less a trans woman, so on top of it all they just call the pigs on ANY kind of apparent presentation variance.
And that’s ultimately their game

I urge everyone to re-read and contemplate Willem Van Spronsen’s Final Statement with the context of Kilmar Abrego Garcia rendition to a concentration camp where people are being starved to death, the kidnaping and disappearance of anti-genocide activists, the detention of US born citizens, and the threat to expand El Salvador's concentration camp program to allow for the rendition and detention of thousands of American citizens.
Read it now, before anyone who dares to talk about it gets disappeared to a Central American death camp.

I'm not a natural evangelist of these kinds of things, and I'm a skeptic of anything new out of practicality. But I'm impressed by one thing they've enabled... PGP-key Based 2FA.
I'm asked to submit a pubkey when I make an account. If 2FA is enabled, it gives me a verification code encrypted with my own pubkey on login, which I have to decrypt with my privkey & then submit to complete 2FA.
Maybe this has been done elsewhere, but this is the first time I've encountered it and I find it a very neat and elegant 2FA method compared to many alternatives.
