I see Clemens Vasters is proposing a new schema language for JSON: json-structure.org

I think there is room in the ecosystem for such a thing, a lot of people including me broadly dislike JSON Schema in its current shape. No opinion about the quality of this new submission.

ICYMI—I’ve published a new book (free online): “Exploring TypeScript”

It’s for JS programmers and TS programmers:
• Learn the basics of TypeScript quickly.
• Learn the latest TypeScript features such as the `satisfies` operator and the compiler option `erasableSyntaxOnly`.
• Learn programming at the type level – which has become much more powerful thanks to features such as template literal types and variadic tuple types.

Sharing (here and elsewhere) appreciated!

Everything Radley said. Except he means "censorial" not "censorious." And, yes, this is the most pedantic hill I will die on. But, Brendan Carr, who Trump declared was a "free speech warrior" is the most anti-free speech FCC commissioner ever.

if i were ever to do something so base as have political views, I would simply keep them out of the eternal platonic realm of software development, which is my blessedly apolitical safe space 🤲

(definitely don't ask me where computers came from or what their history is or how they're manufactured or how they're used today or what foss was originally meant to be, or where the computer parts come from, or the political movements that profits from tech companies are going towards, la la la i can't hear you!!!)

A couple years back I switched from Unifi to Omada because of pricing and a better match of available devices. Now Ubiquiti is firing on all cylinders and has plenty of 2.5gb and 6GhZ gear and TP-Link feels like it has given up on the market.

I normally don't make such bad tech decisions.

My hero this week is Representative Zooey Zephyr of the Montana House of Representatives, who has had enough of weird laws from scared politicians that want to control all aspects of life, right down to the clothes we wear.

Ms. Zephyr is a transgender person, so she knows what she is talking about. And with her speech, she kills the latest bill that would otherwise have limited people's freedom to dress as they please.

More power to you @ZoAndBeholdRep.-elect Zooey Zephyr! 💪🏼

Apparently CEO is annoyed that people are sharing that article where he is quoted saying that their browser will track everything users do to sell more ads.

> “That’s kind of one of the other reasons we wanted to build a browser, is we want to get data even outside the app to better understand you,” Srinivas said.

This is that article, in case you'd like to share it:
