Shoutout to @aralAral Balkan for suggesting I use "Accounts" instead of "Users" in the new FediDB!

It may seem like a trivial change, but it really conveys the federated nature of the Fediverse better.

One person can have multiple accounts across instances, and "Users" implies a centralized system.

Small language shifts like this help reinforce the decentralized ethos we're building.

This new FediDB v2 is my first production nuxt site with tailwind and tanstack-query (which I use in the Pixelfed app)

I've learned Nuxt/tailwind earlier this year working on the Loops frontend and new Pixelfed frontend.

I'm so much more productive with this stack/workflow, I can't wait to get Loops and the new Pixelfed UI in your hands 🙌

You can now use FediDB to find the perfect community across several fediverse projects!

You can apply various filters and even regional filters, along with sorting by users, age, etc.

For example, this is a list of Pixelfed servers older than 3 years, running the latest version, with open registration and located in North America, sorted by user counts.
