I already know Linux quite well, but for my job mostly (programming). However I have almost no experience in using it for what I use on a personal side.
So:
- What's the state of gaming on Linux for very old Windows games?
- What about Photoshop and the Adobe suite in general? (Mostly for my wife who's an artist)
- Is there a non-Ubuntu Debian-based OS good enough for these usages other than Debian itself?

這幾天在 Slowly 上久違的得到了新筆友，是一個在紐約長大的日本人，因為對方很熱情的寫說要跟我交換食譜：「料理が好きなので是非レシピの交換が出来ればと思って手紙を送ります☆」（還用了「☆」耶！），顯示的插畫風格頭像又是個長頭髮的，還以為是個年齡相仿的太太就熱情回信，今天收到第二封信才發現……對方是個漢子XDDD ，每每總要被砸了腳才會發現自己的刻板思維有多嚴重耶 XDrz
因為我回信問他想要哪種食譜，順便告訴他我住在日本朋友家時被要求做道地的「台湾まぜそば」但那是日本人的發明所以我根本做不出來的事。於是他回信裡也寫了有個印度人在日本公司就職的故事，公司的同事為了讓這個印度人早日習慣於是請他去家裡吃飯，還特地煮了咖哩，印度人吃了非常開心的說「這好好吃喔！請問這是什麼料理呢？」
XDDD 這什麼故事……
總之這個人說他在參加健美比賽所以想找高脂肪高蛋白低糖的食譜，這種奇怪的需求我真是沒想過……如果有人想到有什麼符合條件的台灣料理還請不吝告訴我～

what if all programs lie on a continuum of simplicity <-> flexibility where the simpler the program is, the less useful it is, and the more flexible it is, the harder it is to use? and the two endpoints of this continuum are /bin/cat on one end and an actual full programming language on the other end
