hi fedi,
is there any tram drivers here (optimally from frankfurt or another city deploying flexity (classic)s, but any are fine)?

i have a few questions (and probably will have many more coming up over time) for a uni gamedev project.

basically, the idea is the simulation of a tram EM, but in a very arcade-like way.

I still do not want to get the challenging aspects (controls, the "braking feel" etc) wrong.

so this will probably amount to a bunch of questions and me giving you access to builds of the game so you can playtest it.

as this is just a semester project (and a "small one" at that, tho the prof expects more then our main project lol), we obviously don't have any funding so i unfortunately cannot offer financial compensation, but obviously i'll put everyone who helped in making this game in the credits. i obviously do not expect any significant time investment in this therefor. i am just a perfectionist and wanna get this right.

Je mehr ich über etwas weiß, umso mehr habe ich das Gefühl weniger darüber zu wissen?

Hmm, ich versuche zu beschreiben:

Ich bin Linuxnutzer, kann halbwegs gut in der Bash navigieren und kenne einige Befehle.
Aber je mehr ich lerne, umso mehr entdecke ich was ich nicht weiß.

Eine Windows nutzende Person würde mich vielleicht für den übelsten Hackerman halten, weil ich schnell tippe und weiß was ich eingeben muss um mein Ziel zu erreichen.

Aber ich weiß, dass jeder genutzte Befehl etliche, mir unbekannte Parameter hat und es noch hunderte weitere Befehle gibt, die ich gar nicht kenne.

Irgendwo hatte ich mal etwas darüber gelesen, alles weg. Nur dass dieses Gefühl wohl einen Namen oder eine spezifische Bezeichnung haben müsste.

We created a safer AV1 decoder, rav1d, by forking the dav1d decoder and rewriting the C code in Rust. It works well except our Rust is 5% slower than the C.
