이 블로그는 2024년 12월 4일 첫 포스팅을 올렸고, 그로부터 6개월이 흘렀습니다. 보셨으면 아시겠지만, 매일 하나의 글을 올리기로 했고, 놀랍게도 지금까지 그 약속은 지켜지고 있습니다. (블로그 부분만 보면 중간중간 비는 날짜가 있는데, 그런 날을 위키 쪽에 포스팅을 올린 날입니다.)

저는 아무래도 꾸준하게 뭘 하는 걸 잘 못 하는 편입니다. 이 블로그를 이렇게 쓰기로 한 것도 그걸 보완해 보려는 시도를 한 거지요. 그래도 블로그 포스팅은 미리 써서 세이브 원고를 만들어둘 수 있으니, 정말 하루하루 빼먹지 않고 써야 하는 것보다는 쉬웠다고 생각합니다. 다음 목표는, 글쎄요. 일주일 치 세이브 원고 유지하기 같은 걸 해 봐야 하나….

이 포스팅이 게재될 때 쯤이면 2025년 6월 3일에 있는 중요한 사건의 결과가 확정되어 있겠지요. 공교롭게도 2024년 12월 3일로부터 6개월이 지난 시점이군요. 이 결과가 제가 바라는 방향으로 나든 그렇지 않은 방향으로 나든, 중요한 건 제가 사회를 제가 원하는 방향으로 조금씩이라도 밀어야 한다는 사실은 변하지 않는다는 것입니다. 이 블로그에 무언가를 계속 쓰는 일이 제가 하려는 일에 어떤 식으로든 도움이 되기를 소박하게나마 바라 봅니다.

Looking for any examples of using a ShinyApp to allow researchers to select the data they would need for their specific research question. This will be for a large, multi-site project and I was hoping there would be a way to have the the dataset processed based on selection and then sent all securely in the format they need (e.g. long vs wide format). For this to be done securely, I’m thinking the app sends a request which is downloaded regularly to a local machine which can then automatically send out the data as needed using secured methods… But there’s probably a more eloquent way to do this!

1-As we move into summer, work returns to full craziness mode..lol I work Saturday/Sunday, so I mostly take it easy Monday. In late afternoon I had a lovely on the acreage +farm. Strong winds + a bit of rain over the weekend knocked down a lot of the fluffy seed pods from poplar trees, so the air was clearer than it has been, it was pleasantly cool around 17C/63F warmer in sunny spots, cooler in shade and the strong breeze.

Standing in a grassy area dotted with small poplar saplings/suckers. To the right is the shade of a mixed wood area, with a couple of mid-sized aspen trees in front of spruce and other poplars. From the left an area of low willows extends across the centre and continuing past the edge of the mixed woods on the right. Farther back to the left is a stand of tall mostly spruce mixed woods, with another area of mixed woods, mostly poplar, even farther back in centre. There is a narrow patch of cloud above the spruce on the left, which expands into a broader cloud in centre that fades into wisps below as though it is dropping a slight rain shower. Above this band of cloud there is some more thin white cloud then partly blue sky with haze.
