Oh wow, Jeff Atwood thinks Bill Gates read his post and shut down a foundation.
That’s adorable.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are out here trying to survive the smoldering wreckage of “the American Dream” you tech boomers sold to VCs and buried under ad trackers.

Keep writing your little blog posts, Jeff. Maybe the next billionaire will read it and end poverty with a newsletter.

What's the difference between a nation and a country? I always wondered. Why is it the United Nations, but not the United Countries? Turns out the difference is subtle but relevant. Nation is defined by a common culture. Country is defined by geographical border. Using that, I believe we should strive to be citizens of one Nation. The World :) A cultural unity, based on human rights, that focuses on making our world a better place. Through unity, not separation.

This Juneteenth—let us remember that human trafficking was legal. Slavery was legal. Jim Crow was legal. The US Govt government paying reparations to white enslavers but not to the Black enslaved, was legal. Do not let legality be a measure of morality or justice.
