60 pages to finish my first pass through the page proofs of the *last* laundry novel (a 336 page lump) and I am *so tired* of this series.

If I'd realized in 1998 that this short one-shot comic novel was going to run for 25 years and turn into a 14 book series (with another 70,000 words of short fic on the side) I'd probably have fled screaming.

Interesting article reporting that Android will soon give Gemini broadened access to phones and the apps they run, even when Gemini has not been turned on. Article gos on to say people who don't want this should "open the Gemini app from your Android device" and turn off each app extension. Sounds simple enough, but I'm not finding any Gemini app installed on my pixel. Can anyone help me figure out what precisely people must do too keep Gemini off of their android devices?

I've not removed @anniegreensApple Annie :mstdn:'s Weblog from my webring yet.

I don't really want to - but while an unstyled skeleton of the site is still showing for me, it will be gone soon.

I considered pointing the link to the web archive, but then clicking on through any links keeps you stuck within the archive.

Would it be weird to put the web archive link in an iframe, with an additional 'in memoriam' header bar plus webring links across the top?
