I run Prometheus on my home desktop and my office desktop (both Linux), with a variety of exporters and also Grafana and etc, and even Alertmanager at the office. Should you? Goodness, no. I run Prometheus on my desktops because I'm already a professional Prometheus toucher and also, this gives me some test platforms.

(And my Grafana setup reuses all of our standard host and etc dashboards from our production Grafana setup that are relevant to my machines.)

Some time ago I worked in a "data-driven company". And they would say - why are you so grumpy, you are mathematician, you should enjoy that we base our decisions on numbers! These must be right decisions then, because Math!!

While I was in a constant state of facepalm, because no-no-no, you can not blame numbers for your complete lack of understanding that you need a context, a model, and a theory to interpret them.

負面的人練習覺察跟接納自己、承認事實、釋放情緒比較有效。

很多東西都跟個人的狀態有關，是不能一概而論的。

I wanted to share a bit more about my story. I'm 18, just graduated, and honestly the past few years have been a wild ride of growth and figuring things out.

I went from struggling with depression during most of my highschool years to building tools that thousands of people use daily. I've been coding literally my entire life, but I do it because I genuinely love solving problems.

Right now I'm in a gap year, taking time to explore opportunities and figure out my next chapter. Looking for a team/company where I can contribute my skills while continuing to learn and grow.

The accessibility work especially means a lot to me, tech should work for everyone, and I love being part of making that happen.

I've had some criticisms about my use of AI but I just see it as a productivity tool, I could build what I build without it, but it would take more energy and time, of course.

養小孩的過程，是一場永無止盡的自我叩問。每一個選擇，都是對自己生命歷程的一次反思。當年我如何被對待，我覺得好或不好、為什麼？每一步都伴隨著無數的自我挖掘，每一個選擇都伴隨著狼狽或痛楚。只是每個人的痛苦來源各異，於是形成了各種看似互斥的決擇。

我是從小就被親友賦予信任的小孩，於是我選擇信任我的小孩；合夥人是從小就在充滿質疑的環境下長大的孩子，於是他時常免不了會顯露懷疑，但由於被逼迫的記憶太過痛苦，他選擇不要重蹈上一輩覆轍。

我很慶幸即使成長的環境差異甚鉅，對於尊重孩子這一點我們具有相當的共識；這也是我們選擇合夥的主因之一。

面對這世上許多父母師長的焦慮情緒，我時常會想起很老套的北風與太陽。很多時候父母逼迫孩子走一條他們認為安全的路，追根究柢，是出於各種害怕落後了會被淘汰的恐懼；由於恐懼根深柢固，對父母來說，為了你好，一切都沒得商量。

但對這樣的父母子女而言，害怕落人後的恐懼所驅動的循環將永無終結之日，你可能會因此變得很強、賺得很多，但人外永遠有人，你也可能就這樣一輩子追逐競爭、看不見終點。
