if you make a bagel for lunch -- say, with salami and sliced Emmental, like I've just done -- do you cover up the hole in the middle by sticking one big slice of cheese over the whole thing? or carefully cut the cheese and salami up into thin slices and assemble them around the outside so that the hole remains clear?
