Today's bike club group ride¹ took us from Etienne Brúle up to Eglinton, along the bike path there, and then down West Mall before we wandered back mostly through nice Etobicoke side streets (and a cemetary). The weather was great and I restrained myself on West Mall for once, despite being at the front of the group (and as a result this may be one of my lowest average heart rates for that segment, at under 110 BPM.).
Memory safety with no GC, no borrow checker, simpler and easier than rust. Mostly built off off other previous work, like most good designs are.
I think I just had a huge mental breakthrough on #ruelang. Not gonna talk about it just yet, but want to timestamp it. Yes. This is probably gonna be good. And if it’s not it still will be a good example of exploring the design space, which will help others in the future
