What is Hackers' Pub?

Hackers' Pub is a place for software engineers to share their knowledge and experience with each other. It's also an ActivityPub-enabled social network, so you can follow your favorite hackers in the fediverse and get their latest posts in your feed.

With , you can customize how timelines are displayed in the app.
For that just open "Main menu > Manage timelines".
You will be able to reorder your timelines by moving items. Hide a timeline by tapping on the eye icon. All timelines can be removed excepted default ones that can only be hidden.
Also, by tapping on the "+" button at the top right, you will be able to follow remote instances (and also Twitter accounts through ).

まあ、冗談は置いといて、記事の方向性はどうするかなー?

まゆり氏みたいにレビューっぽくするのもいいけど、そんなに機材持ってないし知識もないから、単に撮った写真を紹介する感じでいいか?

We apologize for a period of extreme slowness today. The army of AI crawlers just leveled up and hit us very badly.

The good news: We're keeping up with the additional load of new users moving to Codeberg. Welcome aboard, we're happy to have you here. After adjusting the AI crawler protections, performance significantly improved again.

It seems like the AI crawlers learned how to solve the Anubis challenges. Anubis is a tool hosted on our infrastructure that requires browsers to do some heavy computation before accessing Codeberg again. It really saved us tons of nerves over the past months, because it saved us from manually maintaining blocklists to having a working detection for "real browsers" and "AI crawlers".

For a sneak preview of my followup to the Fediverse Schema Observatory, there's now a project page on the lab website for the ActivityPub Fuzzer:

asml.cyber.harvard.edu/activit

Basically it lets an ActivityPub server developer test compatibility with simulated messages from Fediverse software known to the Observatory (dozens of software projects and hundreds of versions!). The dev can do this entirely in a local dev environment.

The project is still in the works but I'll be releasing the code soon.
