I'd pay for a high-quality handmade sketch (a good one, not some stick figures) that depicts what I desperately want to ask AI to devise just because I like the idea of asking it to imagine its own demise: I'm picturing a scene where the data centers have been overgrown with dangling vines and weeds creeping out of server cabinets, which have long ago been stripped for scarce parts in the battle against the machines. I'd settle for a more gently apocalyptic theme as well.

Oh great. Try this in :
1. in the message input field, create a list with a few points
2. select a complete row and the "quote" formatting
3. click on the "discard measage" button (as the formatting is broken/mangled now)
4. see how the text input field shows a grey box and stops working completely
5. admire the software quality

A prominent US Senator has called on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Microsoft for “gross cybersecurity negligence,” citing the company’s continued use of the obsolete and vulnerable RC4 encryption cipher that Windows uses by default. Senator Ron Wyden went on to liken Microsoft to an "arsonist selling firefighting services to their victims.”

Im Schieferbergwerk

Ich hatte endlich die Gelegenheit eine Führung durch das Besucherbergwerk Fell mitzumachen. Es war wirklich beeindruckend! Wir sind durch einen langen in den Schiefer gehauenen Gang in die Grube ‚Hoffnung‘ gegangen und konnten dort mit sehr fachkundiger Führung sehen, wie früher der Dachschiefer abgebaut wurde.

Is it just me, or does i seem like the person pushing this AP <-> AT equality position is in fact normally pretty dismissive of AP, and, as much as I'd like to assume good faith, might be hiding an agenda?

I mean, I'm all for cooperation and coexistance, so I'm inclined to support her statement at face value, but then I look at other posts, and it starts to make me feel iffy about the whole thing.

.....yes, I heard the news. yes, good riddance.

on a more interesting note, I've come to the realization that, of the two bookstores I visit most often, I only buy mysteries from one of them and sci-fi from the other, and I'm really incredibly amused that things have shaken out that way.

An update of the port of Shepherd to Spritely Goblins! spritely.institute/news/shephe

Shepherd on Goblins RUNS! There's still some things to clean up but Juli Sims has been leading the effort with a lot of work also by David Thompson. There's examples of Goblins + Shepherd running a userspace Shepherd daemon... and even a demo of Goblins + Shepherd allowing for fleet orchestration!
