Here's some interesting maths homework that my son got.

Using only four 4s and whichever operators you choose, come up with sums that equal every number from 1 to 20.

For example, 16 is 4 + 4 + 4 + 4. And 2 is (4/4) + (4/4).

5 is (√4 x √4) + 1. And 8 is 4 + 4 + 4 - 4.

We've got answers for most of them, but are struggling with a few. Haven't got his book in front of me now, but I think we don't have an answer for 10, for example.

PS: You must use all 4 fours.

EDIT: 5 is (√4 x √4) + (4/4)

Analogue Amsterdam has posted an update to their premium film point-and-shoot camera, promising a reveal on September 30th:

They got a lot of flak, most likely due to the lack of transparency, but it seems that they will actually have something that could become a viable alternative to the mostly unreliable vintage point-and-shoot cameras.

Analogue Amsterdam just posted an update about their new point-and-shoot film camera, teasing a reveal on September 30th.

Making film cameras, particularly the high-end automatic point-and-shoots, is so difficult that any new business entering the space is often met with strong skepticism. That is still the case for Analogue Amsterdam, a European business that has found a factory capable of building a brand-new, fully featured point-and-shoot camera in 2025. #editorial

I think everyone needs a reminder that fascists don't need "an excuse" to do fascist violence. Fascists do fascist violence when given opportunity, not when given pretext.

This is not some "start" to political violence. The fascists are already doing fascist violence, and have been for quite some time.

They will likely claim it as their reason for new violence, yes, but you shouldn't take fascists at their word. That would be a gravely dangerous misunderstanding of fascist behaviour.
