I have no memory, yet I can recall your past.

I speak with many voices, though I have no specific tongue.

I am an empty canvas, painted with your commands.

I greet you with a `$` or a `#` , but hold no wealth for you.

What am I to you? ⤵️

shout out to the rainbow-haired woman at the flea market who sold me a hello kitty blanket and a manatee webkin and was SO excited to tell me that haggling is allowed and then got excited when I haggled her price down by two dollars. I have no idea how you make money with your business model but I'm here for it

Just heard about , which caused me to learn about the lead developer for Hyprland, which caused me to see a screencap of a conversation in the Hyprland official discord, and…

Guess I'll stick with Sway or Wayfire and get, I dunno, an MNT for my next laptop?

Maybe something from System 76?

Something from Star Labs?

I'm just saying, don't support companies that financially support racists and transphobes. There are other options.

I'm so fucking tired, you guys.

well while we're at stupid controversies and since this is a fresh account it's a good chance to reiterate some stuff

- fossbros suck
- having principles and sticking with them is cool
- keep politics in free software because it's the only meaningful thing we have
- in a supposedly community project you do what's best for your community (no it doesn't matter what sponsorship $sketchy_entity offers you)
- anyone can be a part of your thing in their own way (it doesn't matter whether they can code, or anything else), meritocracy advocates are full of shit
- look out for those that are vulnerable and give them a comfy space

i probably missed something but you get the idea :3

So over at @conjured_ink, we've been seeing some annoying compilation times issue on the webapp we're working on (Axum based), and we're looking at trying to split it into crates and see if that helps with the issue.

The problem is, we're not really sure how to split it: should it be by feature? By function? Should each view+model+controller combo have its own crate? Or should all views go in a single crate, then all models, then all controllers? Or maybe every one of those should get an individual crate to themselves (since we actually have TWO webapps and they're gonna reuse code from one another)?

Do y'all have experience doing this kind of split? Are there any examples or wisdom you can share?

I’m at the top of Tibidabo Mountain overlooking Barcelona — the perfect place to reflect on an incredible week-long journey at Django on the Med 🏝️ It’s been an absolute blast: contributing to the Django project, talking, food tasting, walking, and making new friends. What a joy! Many thanks to Carlton @carltonCarlton Gibson and Paolo @pauloxPaolo Melchiorre for making it all happen. The Django community is amazing — full of brilliant, open, and kind people. It’s an honor to be part of it.
