There's still some weirdness but I have mate-session running on Redox. We now have GTK, X11, wayland, d-bus, and dconf ported (though there are still some bugs). With these fundamentals in place, porting software from Linux has become much easier.

Every time there is an outage like #cloudflare or #aws I see people talking about the (in)dependence of the fediverse. But did someone actually look into on what hosters etc. the fediverse relies on?

Cloudflare's problems today confirmed what I have known for a long time: if a customer is down for half an hour due to some kind of server issue (disk replacement, etc.), they immediately start saying a way must be found to avoid it.
When it's Cloudflare that goes down for hours, they accept it with resignation.
