We're building something for the Fediverse.

ActivityPub running on your phone. Your own server, your data stored locally. A relay handles your stable identity when you're offline.

One account, all formats. Short text, long articles, photos, videos. The UI adapts to your mood. Switch between text mode, photo grid, video feed, article editor based on what you feel like sharing.

Same network, same followers.

Early stages, but the foundation is solid. We wanted to share the progress.

Street Art Utopia shared the below article:

Never Avoid What Makes You Smile (8 Photos)

STREET ART UTOPIA @streetartutopia@streetartutopia.com

This set brings together 8 pieces that use humor, surprise, and simple visual tricks to change ordinary spaces. A pigeon statue crowns the Duke of Wellington monument in Glasgow, a girl with bubbles rises across a tower in Long Beach, and a giant cat appears to crawl from under a brick arch in Cheltenham. Painted shadows, googly-eye interventions, a Janis Joplin portrait in Texas, a staged moment with a stone sculpture, and a snowman-shaped mailbox complete the selection. More: Made You […]

€ spekulativ einsetzen

Hi! Today is my first official day as the Executive Director of Mastodon, replacing @GargronEugen Rochko as CEO. I joined the Mastodon team more than 5 years ago, mostly working for Mastodon in the evenings on top of a 120% day job. I was the driving force behind the incorporation of the German non-profit, am a co-founder of the US 501c3 non-profit, and I have contributed to most of the fundraising success, which allowed us to expand the team.

I have huge respect for everyone contributing to the Fediverse: the larger-than-life architects like @cwebberChristine Lemmer-Webber @evanEvan Prodromou (without whom we would literally all not be here), implementers like @dansup bringing photo & video to it, new projects like @newsmastNewsmast Foundation @michaelMichael Foster @FreddieJFreddie Johnson @saskia @bonfire @ivan @mayel orgs like @Flipboard @mikeMike McCue @johnJohn O'Nolan @ghost @activitypub.blog @pfefferleMatthias Pfefferle bringing the media over to the Fediverse, and @rileytestutRiley Testut :fatpikachu: @altstore for trying out completely new things.

I'm still writing my 'memoirs' of EuroBSDCon 2025. It's difficult to move forward because the emotions are strong. Computer science has always been my passion, and being among fantastic people like those I meet at the BSD Conferences is always something incredible. And, like all impactful experiences, you often need a little time to avoid sounding like those TV hucksters who are just trying to sell or convince.
Because true, genuine feelings deserve the right importance, in a world increasingly made up of appearances.
