Friends don't let friends buy from Amazon!

"Bookshop.org began as an idea to help support bookstores and their communities as more and more people are buying their books online. We saw an opportunity to create an alternative to Amazon for socially-conscious online shoppers. Amazon sells over 60% of all books in the US and is growing. That shift threatens the future of bookstores and will hurt readers, authors, and publishers who rely on a diverse, healthy ecosystem for books. We had a better idea—give readers the convenience of online shopping while supporting independent bookstores at the same time."

"78% of our customers said they regularly bought books from Amazon before they made the switch."

I feel this needs to be repeated 🍪

The annoyance of cookie banners
doesn't come from the regulations, but from the malicious compliance of the corporations who want to exploit your personal data.

No data-harvesting cookies = No banner.
Simple.

My websites have no cookie banners,
because they don't use any non-essential cookies and don't track visitors.

Yours shouldn't either.

Looking to get my personal site off of GitHub Pages, and I'm unsure how to proceed.

The best plan I can find that doesn't lead to me paying wayyyy more for storage than I need is from Porkbun, but I need to either buy a new domain or bring my current one over?

Should I just do it, or is there something else out there in the same price range?
