A shipping and fulfillment update from Peri... but is he at Commodore HQ? Click to watch!
Commodore Community, Good news straight from our assembly partner, where Peri is currently boots on the ground, turning screwdrivers himself. Assembly has kicked off, the first 500 BASIC Beige units are in final packaging, awaiting a shipping label, and the wonderful people at UPS to load it into a truck, a plane, and another truck or two to bring it to you. In the video above, Peri does a quick update from the assembly line itself. For those of you who are readers, read on! With our first units ready to roll, we're hoping to scale up production to around 1,000 BASIC Beige units a day. By the end of the week, we very well may have 5,000 BASIC Edition Commodore 64 Ultimates ready for that UPS pickup. We'll have a shipping pickup later this week, with pickups once or twice a week moving forward. Next week (or potentially even later this week), we'll kickoff assembly of the Starlight Edition, with billions of individual LEDs hand placed. Founders, your new gold PVD electroplated keycaps are about 3 weeks out, but our new manufacturing partner is well aware that our goal is the first few Founders Editions underneath Christmas trees. If you ordered different Editions in the same order, fear not! We don't want you to miss out on all the fun. Our very jet lagged CEO just greenlit split shipping, so your units will ship separately as they become available. Questions about your order status? Head to your My Orders page for the most up to date information. And, of course, as your order status changes, you'll receive an email as well. We'll have another update next week. Those of you stateside, enjoy your families, friends, and your turkeys too. If it lights up like our Starlight Edition, call a priest. Much more to come! ❤️ All of us at Commodore
