Sentinel-1D delivers first images: from Antarctica to Bremen

The first high-resolution images have been received from Copernicus Sentinel-1D and were shared publicly for the first time at the European Space Agency’s Ministerial Council, held today in Bremen, Germany. Glaciers in Antarctica, the tip of South America, as well as the city of Bremen, are visible in these stunning radar images.

Before the night emerges, our Paranal Observatory glows in the colourful light of the Chilean sunset. Here we see the Venus Belt, an atmospheric phenomenon caused by the scattering of the Sun’s light when it rises or sets, visible on the opposite side of the sky. As sunlight reaches the far end of the atmosphere, small particles scatter it back towards the observer, creating a pinkish band.

평생을 struct 가 주류이고 enum 이 보조인 형태의 언어만 써봤으니 이런 패턴의 코드가 이해가 안되던 것이었어. enum 타입의 한 부분을 struct 로 보면 아래 코드가 읽히는 것이다.

// [1] 선택지가 여러 개인 경우 (일반적인 Enum)
pub type Shape {
  Circle(radius: Float)             // 원
  Rectangle(width: Float, height: Float) // 사각형
}

// [2] 선택지가 하나뿐인 경우 (우리가 아는 Struct)
pub type User {
  User(name: String, age: Int)      // 유저는 무조건 이름과 나이를 가짐
}

sum 타입 기본 언어를 잘 쓰려면 역시 데이터 모델링을 잘 해야겠구나.

日本人でたまにベトナムのことを「ベトナム国」とか言う／書くアホタレがいるんだよな。あのねえ、「ベトナム国」（Quốc gia Việt Nam）つうのは1949年にフランスがベトナム南部に打ち立てた傀儡国家の名前！ 今のベトナムの正式名称は「ベトナム社会主義共和国」でしょうが！ そんな当たり前のことも分かってないやつに限って「ベトナムと日本の架け橋になりたい」みたいなバカタレなこと言うんだよな。
