As a theoretical chemist I don't find "Schrödinger's cat" jokes funny.

First even Schrödinger regretted to have made this metaphor.

Second I have heard every possible version of the joke. Yes, also the impossible ones.

My favourite things about @gnome are:

• It stays out of my way.
• Doesn't overwhelm me with a myriad of configuration knobs.
• Doesn't get upset when I only use part of the platform (in my case, niri + mostly GNOME apps, but no GNOME Shell).
• The few times I interacted with GNOME developers, they were very helpful.
• I've been a GNOME user since the dawn of time. I experimented with WMs other than whatever was GNOME's default at the time, but as far as applications go, most I use were GNOME ever since I first started up X11. We seem to have evolved together, and GNOME's nicely following my taste (or shaping mine).

Krantz指出，八爪魚智商相當於三歲幼兒，除了大腦外，每條觸手亦擁有獨立的「附屬大腦」，能自行判斷及行動。他最初循序漸進教導「章魚燒」，惟一度遇上瓶頸——八爪魚連續彈出三個音符已是極限。Krantz曾因效果欠佳而放棄每天傍晚六時準時開始的「鋼琴課」，但看到牠每日在同一時間等待，決定重新投入訓練。

廉政公署今日（4日）拘捕四名男子，涉嫌在立法會選舉期間於社交平台發表或轉載內容，煽惑他人不投票或投無效票，涉違《選舉（舞弊及非法行為）條例》第27A條。廉署強調，相關行為屬刑事罪行，早前亦已就同類案件落案起訴另外三人。

被捕四人年齡介乎37至62歲。廉署表示，會按既定程序繼續調查，完成後會向律政司尋求法律意見，以決定是否提出檢控。自2021年《選舉條例》新增第27A條後，已先後有12人因煽惑不投票或投無效票被定罪。

【BUILT-IN PRO 電器專門店特約】美國維珍尼亞州一間酒精專賣店近日上演「醉酒浣熊」鬧劇。一隻浣熊上周六從天花板鑽入店內，打碎多支烈酒又翻倒紙箱，期間更疑大量飲用威士忌，最後醉倒在洗手間熟睡，翌日才被上班員工發現。

動物收容所負責人Samantha Martin表示，浣熊的進入方式相當突然，牠進入店舖後四處翻找，造成貨架凌亂，期間飲下不少酒精，最終在洗手間昏睡不醒。動物保護人員將牠帶回收容所檢查，指牠雖然「生活習慣欠佳」，但身體並無受傷，已安全將牠放回野外。

I'm working on a presentation for my high school friends and classmates to encourage giving old hardware a second life through software upgrades. This is important for reducing e‑waste. Also, many people know that BSD‑based systems have stronger processor architecture support and run smoother on older, low‑power computers. If the situation allows, it would be great to spread the word and get people talking.

P.S. Although running BSD on a smartphone might not be practical, projects like postmarketOS still revive many old devices:))))

台灣內政部及刑事局今日（4日）宣布，因中國社交平台「小紅書」在台涉嫌大量詐騙案件，並於國安單位的資安檢測中15項指標全數未達標，將依《詐欺犯罪危害防制條例》對其發布「網際網路停止解析及限制接取」命令，暫定為期一年。最快未來數日，小紅書網站及APP將在台灣全面無法連線，除非以VPN繞過台灣網絡。

刑事局指出，小紅書自去年以來涉及1,706宗詐騙案件，造成財損高達2億4,768萬新台幣。由於平台拒絕提供必要資料，執法單位偵查困難，形成「實質法律真空」。同時，小紅書在台用戶一年內迅速飆升至逾300萬人，恐成為網購詐騙的高風險場域。
