Funny story the lab where I used to work had a hand in the start of the LINC and they were the last ones to operate a LINC.

Sadly I suspect it was not the first pixel font but I could be wrong. I joined decades after the last complete linc left. When I was there the spare parts and tapes were still laying around.

@Em0nM4stodonEm :official_verified: My favorite way to fine would be "percentage of global turnover" during the period covered by the infraction. Say the company put in a year conning unsuspecting customers out of extra money. So the fine would be money-taken-from-customers + some percentage of your total sales for that year. The money-taken-from-customers would be returned to customers.

The app, called Mobile Identify, was launched in November, and lets local cops use facial recognition to hunt immigrants on behalf of ICE. It is unclear if the removal is temporary or not.
