To my mind, the real news is that we're way past 30 Tbps capability with this botnet, and we're safely moving into a territory (terrortory?) where only Cloudflare can handle these attacks. This is problematic on a multitude of levels, and it's probably worth restating that much of the DDoS for hire industry still hides behind CF. And apparently 68 percent of phishing sites, if these stats are credible.

Over the last couple of days I visited my parents and used this opportunity to migrate my fathers PC from Windows 10 to Linux Mint (take that, Micro$oft), as this machine is only used for web browsing and light office use.
Instead of spending Money on a license, I upgraded the Fujitsu i5-4690 8G RAM PC to a Lenovo m720q i5-9400t 16G RAM PC, which ironically used to run Windows as well.
To migrate - and more importantly - back up all his files, I installed UrBackup, which now runs in a bastille jail on the local FreeBSD NAS. It's now automatically backing up all the files, backed by (the amazing) OpenZFS.
And to allow remote access for remote assistance, I also installed Rustdesk in another bastille Jail, but this time on the FreeBSD NAS at my place. This now allows easy access without having to rely on the benevolence of TeamViewer anymore.
Thanks to FOSS software, I only spent a little over €120 on the new hardware and a couple of hours of time, half of which was spent talking to family. It was all well spent, in my opinion. 😁🎅🎄

The problem with following mail domains used for registration of propaganda spam bots is, that they are recycling them quickly, burn them after few registered accounts and don't reuse them. So exchanging block lists won't help, unless we would be able to update on almost hourly basis. But maybe someone will be able to recognize some patterns in domain ownership... who knows.

Fediverse/ActivityPub is relatively spam-resistant scheme... if registrations are closed. Being doorkeeper, allowing registrations of serious new users open, is a challenge. But as I believe in open society, I don't want to give up. This is what *they* want from us ... to form isolated social bubbles.

Is it more or less common for languages to have that thing of mashing words together?
Find myself wondering if German only seems unusual among Latin alphabet languages and if it might be more typical at the global level.

選舉日最搞笑的是，他們假裝競爭激烈，拿著大聲公在屋邨大聲告急。
在愛國愛黨的高標準（國家標準編號GB-2020）要求下，每位候選人的能力都差不多——我不是說在座都是垃圾，我的意思是都非常出色（再出色都好，香港好不好關鍵還是取決於夏寶龍的治理能力）。好比在同一價位的小米 、OPPO、vivo手機中選擇，其實都差不多，不僅「芯」是一樣的，外觀也相差無幾，除了品牌logo和預裝的流氓程式；甚至就是公務員喝過的那些樽裝飲用水，貼上不同的品牌，實質是同一家工廠生產、包裝。
這些候選人看似使用了不同的「一國兩制OS」，五顏六色，其實只是同一系統的定製版換一層UI，內核都是Xia_Kernel (夏寶龍架構)。如果有某個候選人能力特別不同，那一定是愛國愛黨標準變質了或品控環節出了差錯，值得大家反思。
