Fuller version of Trump security strategy reportedly calls for “pulling Poland away from EU”

Release v3.2.3 of Ktistec

Release v3.2.3 of Ktistec includes two big features:

  • FEP-1b12 Group federation
    Improved federation with Lemmy and other forum-type servers. Ktistec supports community and thread follow/unfollow, as well as up-vote/like (down-vote/dislike is supported but there is no visual affordance for that yet).
  • FEP-9098 Custom emojis
    Support for viewing custom emoji in posts and on actor profiles. Ktistec does not yet support custom emoji creation and management.

  • Support for viewing custom emoji in posts and on actor profiles.
  • Actor type (Person, Group, etc.) overlay badges on actor panels.
  • Colored fallback avatars for actors without icons.
  • Support for robots.txt.

Fixed

  • Federation with Lemmy and other servers that support FEP-1b12.
    • Shared inbox support for local actors.
    • Serialization of Undo includes the undone activity.
    • Serialization of Like and Dislike does not.
  • Notify only once for an object's first received activity.

Changed

  • Accumulate metrics by hour for finer granularity.
  • Clean up presentation of public followers/following pages.

The next release will include support for Mastodon polls (FEP-9967).

Nearly 300,000 families without shelter as Israel blocks entry of aid trucks into Gaza

Around 288,000 Palestinian families are without shelter as Storm Byron bears down on the Gaza Strip.

Roughly 250,000 tents and mobile homes were supposed to enter Gaza, al-Thawabta said. But there are currently 6,000 trucks loaded with aid stuck at the crossings.

Happy birthday to Ada Lovelace (1815-1852), who published the first computer program. She worked together with Charles Babbage, the inventor of the Difference Engine and the Analytical Engine (the first computers), correcting his notes on how to calculate Bernoulli Numbers with the Analytical Engine. 🧵⠀

As described, my linocut print shows Lady Ada, based on engravings made during her lifetime, printed in purple, before gears of the Charles Babbage Analytical Engine, based on one of his blueprints, printed in bronze. Depicted around the gears are equations relating how to calculate Bernoulli Numbers.
