Looks like Trump is trying to find an alternate supplier to Canada's potash. Trump wants to put massive tariffs on potash to spur the US growth in it: problem is there's really no viable source of potash in the US.

So, maybe he tries to get it from a more "friendly" country in Belarus? Key problem for this plan: the main export port for Belarus potash is in Lithuania & the EU has not lifted an embargo on it so none of it will get out that way.

I suppose Belarus could ask Putin to take it and ship it out of a Russian port, but travel/shipping costs would make it more expensive.

After 10 years, My Hero Academia is over. As a huge crybaby, I genuinely loved this show. There’s a couple seasons in the middle that didn’t quite hit, but the final season especially was filled with incredibly satisfying pay offs and big emotional moments. If you can look past some typical Shōnen nonsense from time to time, I’d consider this a must watch.

You can hit ESC to escape the Matrix.

If you replace line 300 with 305, you can get mostly Chinese but also a lot of crap that doesn't render well. I need to make it pick from a few more practical ranges.

(yes, I know my Matriculated Rain looks a little different from the movie thing, but you can't do the streaky effect in chars with 2 "greens").

Matriculated Rain, in ASCII, YOU ESCAPED THE MATRIXMatriculated Rain, in Chinese

friends, you got any favorite libraries to help introspect large import trees? (use cases: providing feedback during the early import-the-world phase of loading a monorepo; determining how to extract internal dependencies or resolve cycles; etc)

My fallback is to just whip something up with sys.meta_path finders, but smells like the kinda use case where there might be a nice handy lib already on PyPI.

EDIT: see social.coop/@bitprophet/115714 for a stdlib resolution. batteries included, baby!

@MigueldeicazaMiguel de Icaza ᯅ🍉 I recently lost my AWS account that I got the year AWS was launched. Their login verification emails began failing to arrive in my email. Their billing emails would arrive, but I could not login. I spent 9 months trying to interact with customer support & having friends who are AWS employees try internal contacts on my behalf to no avail. I finally cancelled the credit card it was billing to and they closed my account for non-payment. Fortunately I mostly only used it for data backups so I didn't lose much. Super weird.

Oh sweet! Looks like Canada Strong¹ is now stocking one of my preferred manufacturers of N95's²! This should make it a bunch more convenient to keep the household supply stocked up.

I also really appreciate Laianzhi HYX1002 KN100's³, but I find designs with loops on the filter & a single long head strap easier to wrangle.

¹: I know, I know, the name makes them sound like some kind of right wing nut job business. I don't think they are.

In a nutshell, seems the best password manager is the password manager you'll actually use.

Currently I'm using @Vivaldi's - yes, I know there are other, arguably more secure password manager applications.

I got burned by Lastpass though, and haven't since managed to choose something beyond using my preferred browser's system.
