DjangoCon US 2025 · Chicago

Looking back at DjangoCon US, these photos bring back many great moments.

I was there as a speaker and as a member of the Django Software Foundation board. I gave my talk and spent some time on stage sharing updates about the work of the DSF, from governance to long-term sustainability.

In the end, conferences like this are about people, trust, and things built together over time.

Town Hall Square - between Town Hall and St Andrews Cathedral.There is limited free parking available for the length of your donation at St Andrews House car park, 464 Kent Street. Just ask reception for a validation ticket when you arrive.You can find reserved parking for donors on Level P4, spaces 420, 421 and 422. You can also park in any other unreserved space.

こちとら高い社保料で毎月ひいこら泣いてるので、ｲｼﾝのヤカラが国保料を不当に安くすますようなことしてるとかめっちゃ腹立つねんなー。

おそらく「マイクロ法人」スキームをちょちょいとアレンジしたやつ。推測だが、当該某法人に加入すると「役員」扱いになってやっすい報酬支払され、（社保は会社の「給与」（報酬額）で決まるから、）社保が安く抑えられる仕組み。その役員は登記されるねんけどもｲｼﾝの議員と同姓同名の人間が何人かおるとか。

「マイクロ法人」の仕組みを利用したのでしょう

Is anyone aware of any evolution pitches to introduce polymorphic effects to function signatures? You know how functions like .map are polymorphic over throwing and non-throwing operations? We need the same for other effects like async. Because it feels very awkward and Ad Hoc to be needing separate function overloads for sync and async arguments. We need to be able to express functions that are polymorphic over their argument effects. See examples below.

何度でも言うのですが「フォローしてる」「フォローされてる」は人間関係のある無しとは一切関係が無く、自分のHTLにその人の発言を「流す」か「流さない」という指定を行っているだけなので、人間関係と結びつけて考えると色々と考えてしまうので良くない（それはそれとして外されると気になるのはそれはそう）

This week my MacBook Pro died five times of running out of memory as I was testing my static site generator

...which has a "code block execution" feature (à la doctests)
...and had the good idea to execute bash code blocks
...and invoke itself recursively
...until I ran out of memory (SHM fast but expensive)
