D一桁機のセンサー、シャープネスに特別な配慮があるような気がする。(単にセンサーの解像度が抑えられているから?)

This happened yesterday:

I was handing over a laptop with the BSD Cafe sticker to a student of mine, and the recipient wanted to remove the sticker for reasons including misalignment, not actually running BSD, etc. I tried saying things like "Steffano got the sticker from Italy etc..." nothing was working. Finally, said "it's his birthday today!" and got a "Oooh..." and the sticker was saved!

冬至快樂

Happy solstice!

I recently discovered that Chinese people do all sorts of stuff for the solstice like eating dumplings and soup balls.

My objections to Christmas run strong and deep so in order to make sure the kids don't feel deprived, we have taken to celebrating that instead. The kids still have a thing to talk about when they go back to school and it is cultural and family gathering that isn't centered around praying to the consumerist gods.

If the post person has the ability to ruin the holiday by not delivering something on time, than I dare say it wasn't worth celebrating.

May this long night be passed with people you love and to hell with the rest of it.

I became a software engineer because writing code is fun. Thinking through hard problems, designing elegant solutions, seeing the things you’ve built working for the first time… these moments are all deeply satisfying, so why in the world would I ever surrender them to AI?

I must say that I’m extremely happy with both the performance and the API of my little TUI framework. I’m going to spend my time off working on widgets to make it actually useful.

There’s a good chance that Spectre.Console v2 will use Spectre.Tui (in inline mode) for all interactive components.

The Spectre.Tui sandbox application showing the text "Happy Holidays".
