I give amazing presents. Like a new guitar, a month in Paris (her dream trip), a 66 Mustang Convertible (her dream car), shit even THAT big. But I’m even good at small stuff. A gold locket hidden inside a Joni Mitchell CD (reference from her favorite Christmas movie). The tiny Irish dish that an Irish grandmother had in her bathroom when my partner was a child. Shit like that.
I give fucking amazing gifts. And I’ve always wished someone would love me enough to give me gifts. But I have never in my life had a romantic partner who made me excited about presents.

文学読まなくなって久しいけど、昔太宰治にめちゃくちゃハマっていて、最近考えなおしてみたら、太宰の主題って今考えるとあきらかに家父長制で、「恋をする女性」が主人公だったのが、反家父長制の象徴的なモチーフとしてだったんだなと考えていた。 「人間は恋と革命のために生れて来たのだ」って斜陽で主人公に言わせているのも、内面化された家父長制を打ち砕くために、女性が恋をして私生児を産む、みたいな仕掛けになっている。「家」から解放される手段としての「恋」があった。 太宰がどこかで漱石の悪口を言っていたんだけど、漱石だと結婚の前段に恋があるが、男性が「結婚」という枠組みに回収されて恋は抑圧される。そこで抑圧されたものが「こころ」とかで告白されるけど、そこで懊悩するのも男性だし、なにより「家」はほぼ否定されていない。家父長制はそのまま踏襲されていて、男性はそこで悩むかもしれないが、「こころ」でも妻の内面は語られることがない。「こころ」の妻が家父長制の付属物みたいなものでしかないことを、漱石が否定しているようには思えない。 太宰が女性の恋を主題化して、恋と革命とを結びつけようとしていたのが、昔はおおげさなと思っていたけど、いま整理すれば家父長制と女性というのがモチーフだから、おおげさな話ではないなと思う。
漱石の悪口言ってたのは坂口安吾だったかも。古い道徳に拘泥って悩んでるだけとかなんとか。その古い道徳というのはいまの言葉でいえば家父長制のことだと思う。まあ太宰とか坂口とか、ある世代の作家がとくに戦後すぐ頃に、武者小路実篤とか志賀直哉とか上の世代の白樺派に噛み付いていたのは、彼らの考える個人の自由が家父長制の内部からでてきたものだったからで、それに対抗するには家父長制の外部としての女性、とくに恋をして家庭を形成しない女性というモデルが必要だったんだとおもう。

Permissive licensing affirmation…
It is self-defeating to proprietize open source software given that your team will always be smaller than the global community. Taking something that dozens, hundreds, or thousands of people have worked on and effectively saying you control it is at best naive, and at worse, a jerk move, event when you have the right to.
To violate a copyleft license is an even jerkier-move because you’re admitting you’re a jerk.
Also don’t forget that most permissive licenses require you to give credit where credit is due.
Some copyleft advocates call permissive licensing, “emotional copyleft”, and maybe they’re right, but show me the numbers on how it is any less emotional or less effective at spreading free software and the software freedom behind it.
Is there progress to be made? Absolutely, but nearly every non-Windows system and appliance now runs some form of Unix-derived system.
That said, we truly want software freedom, we all have to vote with our wallets AT SCALE. Governments and big businesses need to demand transparent systems.
After all… Only proprietary software vendors want proprietary software.
