Today I binged "Your Friends & Neighbors" and I enjoyed it quite a lot.

The show's premise is quite absurd and the plot gets progressively less plausible, but it's still a lot of fun and a good social commentary, especially when it comes to consumerism.

9개월 된 이 PV가 왜 다시 도나 했더니 쿄애니가 루리드래곤을 애니화 하기로 한 모양👻 만화는 귀여운 그림에 정성을 많이 들인 대신 스토리는 좀 너무 평화롭고, 이 PV 에도 등장하는 투톤 염색한 학생 성격이 마음에 들었던 기억이 있다.

기상 전 한시간 이내 잠에서 깨어나면 다시 잠들기가 어렵게 되어버린다. 자주 그런건 아닌데 오늘은 그렇네 😔 꿈도 별로고 다시 잠들려고하니 드는 잡생각에 짜증이 난다. 휴일이였으면 다시 잠들면 그만인데 어쩔 수 없이 하루를 시작하기로 했다. 신정 휴일은 반드시 늦잠을 자주마!

The mention of mls-tester has an [at] to avoid triggering my automatic webfinger resolution.

I've adopted the mediaType and encoding attributes from the draft ActivityPub specification. And I've standardized the Welcome message to incorporate those.

The Create includes the Welcome and a VaultItem as instruments rather than being sent as separate activities. The Welcome can include any number of recipients, so one within the activity should be sufficient.

The VaultItem is specific to the #Enigmatick client and isn't intended to be federated. That's how I'm handling ongoing access to the decrypted data; the VaultItem is a symmetrically encrypted representation of the original content that can be safely stored on the server for repeated use by the client. I'll need to eventually update the @context with that extension.

I saw my aunt this weekend. I always admired her growing up: she was a dedicated dancer, bird watcher, traveler, and general arts-enjoyer. I took up ballet and piano because I wanted to be just like her.

I just found out that she started all of those hobbies after she got sober in her 40s, shortly before I was born. Her defining characteristics, in my eyes, have occupied less than half of her life.

It was a nice reminder that you can start a new chapter of your life whenever you’d like.

Jpeg XL은 테스트 해보니까 구글이 크로미움에서 뻬버리고 버리려고 했음에도 어도비 등이 쓰겠다고 멱살을 잡고 살리는 이유를 알겠다. 사진 다루는 입장에서 이게 차세대 코덱이어야 한다. 사실상 단점이 없음.

"In addition, France is involved in ongoing discussions in the competent bodies on ways to prevent an arms race in outer space. The most appropriate approach to this end is the development of norms of responsible behavior that promote mutual understanding and reduce the risks of uncontrolled escalation. If threats in outer space were a real concern for Russia, it would have refrained in April 2024 from vetoing a draft resolution that would have allowed the Council to reaffirm its commitment to the 1967 Outer Space Treaty.

I love what Tauri has done, a lightweight version of Electron, where you author the backend code in Rust.

But while I love Rust, I do not love it for app building, and I wanted to have that HTML-model for programming but available in Swift.

I used assorted AI tools to port Tauri to Swift (it still reuses the big chunks of code from Tauri), but now you can write HTML desktop apps in Swift:

I go to an ophthalmologist for my annual eye check up. It’s a mix of having bad eyesight all my life and health insurance fully covering it. One benefit it’s probably the only waiting room I go to and get to feel like the youngest person there. 🤓
