今天是侄女出生後D8，7天份的熬煮式生化湯在昨天就喝完了，今天是我當 #2025德國月嫂 的最後一天，明天起就是 #2026德國月嫂 啦！
想回顧一下這幾天來的幾項瑣碎心得：
- 在慕尼黑遭遇毫無來由的種族歧視後，對現在正紅的privilege話題頗有感觸。白人無法用簡單暴力的幾個單字被歧視，就像男人也難以因為性經驗豐富而被性羞辱一樣。台灣是一個相對單一、保守的國家，我在德國體會到一名外籍幫傭會有的心情（？）；當然我的弟弟及弟媳對我非常尊重友愛，這和多數幫傭面臨的處境是不能相提並論的，但這種淺嚐即止仍然開拓了我的眼界。
- 我的弟妹是一位非常優秀的女性，性格有點強勢，絕對是過去會被說khiàng-kha的那種；但如果不這樣，怎麼可能在白人男性佔據絕大多數高階主管位置的國度裡，獲得自己的一席之地呢？
聽她說和我弟初遇時的對話，覺得有點好笑；她很驚訝原來我弟報上的學歷不是在開玩笑，他真的是讀高職上來的。但這並不妨礙她看見 #我的弟弟 的優點，我們一起大讚我弟性格的豁達與自在，他以一種「如其所是」的態度面對很多事情，不過分焦慮但也做好該做的事。

- 我弟拿著一個寫了NaCl的小紙盒回來，我說「這什麼，氯化鈉」？他驚訝問我怎麼知道，對話一番我才驚覺他不是在ge我，他真的不認得氯化鈉的化學式，因為那時候他的課業很差，後來也不是做相關行業自然沒有動機把它補強。
但在我心中，我弟是個很厲害的人，畢竟都在國外工作了嘛！也能流利地和當地人用德語交談、替我讀產品包裝上的字嘛！我再次感受到「厲害」是很多面向、很多元的。
我到現在還不知道那個鹽盒到底是要幹嘛的。
- 向 #我的弟弟 坦言我一直會在意別人的看法，他大驚，說我是他的榜樣耶，我也大驚。原來我弟那種豁達的性格有一部分是看著我而養成的，我跌跌撞撞的青少年時期，在他看來的啟示是「有點怪也沒關係」，反正怎樣都有辦法過的。畢竟我是一個上高中時剃平頭入學的姊姊嘛……
- 小嬰兒不管做了什麼都會被稱讚好棒好棒，但長大後我們卻會責備她的表現不好……嗎？我也不覺得凡事都只有稱讚對小孩的成長是好事，但我不禁想起自己處在人生谷底的心情，那時我連自己好手好腳可以自己走路都寫下來稱讚，因為就是那麼缺乏自我價值感。

2025 was a big year for Waterfox!
Waterfox encrypted and anonymised over 105 billion DNS requests as part of our free Oblivious DNS service - that's an average of ~3,300 requests a second - with peaks of over 6,000 R/s!
Waterfox Private Search (https://search.waterfox.net) also launched as a new funding stream, to make sure we aren't as reliant on 3rd parties, while still fulfilling the privacy mission.
A huge thanks to all of Waterfox's users and those who believe in it. Here's to 2026, our biggest year yet!

One of my break projects while my kids are in day camp today is building a small kiosk and dashboard for my office.
I am using my usual stack: Django, htmx, Tailwind, and a spare Raspberry Pi 4 that has been sitting on a shelf. I am connecting to it over Tailscale, which makes remote access painless.
I followed this Raspberry Pi kiosk mode tutorial and everything worked on the first try, which was a nice surprise:
