One thing that I have hard time figuring about Mastodon is how do people find new contacts here. Maybe I am wrong but it feels like the recommendation system is broken – at least half of the recommended accounts I see were not active since 2022–23, others are irrelevant popular accounts or organizations, which I do not care about. So, how do you usually find new people on Mastodon?
