I have been looking at some IT Notes statistics for the whole of 2025. The data is always partial but, all in all, I think I got a clear picture:

* Right behind it, backup strategies. Then come the others, with varying levels of interest (the FediMeteo announcement, and so on).
To sum up: I probably need to write more horror stories. Luckily, or unluckily, I have many, many more...

요즘 서구 웹 일각에서 00년대 인터넷의 느낌으로 돌아가려 하는 "indie web" 트렌드가 보이고 있네요. html 직접 편집해서 gif 이미지와 동맹배너 등으로 가득한 옛날 느낌의 개인 웹사이트를 만드는 게 소소하게 유행 중입니다. 이를 위한 전용 호스팅 서비스도 생겼더군요.

WebUIがしっかりしているサービスですべての機能を使うにはWebUIが最適です。アプリ化して使うこともできます。
独自の機能追加・変更が行わることが多いMastodonやMisskeyでは、全てのサーバ毎の差異に対しクライアントアプリでは対応できません。
しかし、WebUIの他にクライアントアプリも用意しておいて、どちらでもアクセスできるようにしておいてください。
WebUIに不具合が発生したり、再ログインを求められてパスワードがわからない、以前のメールアドレスが失われてメールが受け取れない、など、困った状況になることは度々あります。
そんなとき、クライアントアプリがあればそのまま利用を継続できますし、自分のアカウントでログインした状態を維持できるので、そこから管理者に連絡を取ることが出来ます。
サーバの運営者は、本人からの問い合わせだとわかっていればいろいろと便宜を図れるのですが、本人確認しにくい連絡を受け取った場合、まず本人確認からしなければならず、確認できず対応できない、というケースも出てきます。そんなとき、ログインしている状態のクライアントがあると非常に役立ちます。
