Before The Internet starts mansplaining Quiet Zones to me again: I always pay extra to reserve a seat in a Quiet Zone if I can, and find Quiet Zones to sit in if I cannot book a seat. I do not complain about people being loud in a Quiet Zone unless I have at least asked them to be quiet once, and they have decided to choose violence and be loud anyway.

작년 6월 14일이랑 10월 18일에 미국 전역에서 트럼프 정책에 반발하는 “No Kings” 시위에 추정 6백만명(인구 1.6%)이 참여했다고 당시 미국 언론이 대단하다고 치켜올린 게 생각나는데 그 이후에 위키백과 기준 기록된 반트럼프 시위가 없다. 관련 보도도 사라져서 굉장히 충격이었는데. 우리는 그걸 몇달동안 매일 매주 했어. 12월 3일부터 4월 4일까지 식음을 전폐했어. 나라를 구하고 싶다면 인터넷에서 손가락 놀릴 시간에 집 밖부터 나가야 하지 않을까? 라고 미국에 빌보드라도 걸어야 할 판이다.

Sanctions are a tool of oppression I feel and not in the best interest of anyone for any reason. There are better methods of dealing with nefariousness.
미국은 항상 저런 식이었어요. 이라크 침공 때도, 파나마 침공 때도, 그 전에도요. 미국이 한국의 상국이라 그런지 미국이 세계의 깡패라는 걸 한국인들은 많이들 간과하거나 애써 모른 척하고 있을 뿐이지만요. 다만 여태껏 미국 정권들과 지금이 다른 점은, 이번 트럼프 정권은 최소한의 위선마저도 포기한 채 날것의 이빨을 고스란히 드러내고 있다는 거죠.
