Als frisch gebackener Linuxnutzer möchte ich zum Jahresstart meinen steuerlichen Pflichten nachkommen.
Also schnell auf Elsterweb gesurft und wie gewohnt versucht mit dem Personalausweis einzuloggen. Ohje nix wars, der Kartenleser nicht verfügbar und Ausweis App auch nicht da. 😥
Der Kartenleser war schnell installiert. ReinerSCT bietet gut auffindbar Linux-Treiber auf der Website an:

In der Softwareverwaltung von Linux Mint gesucht. Dort gibt es eine Ausweisapp. Das Icon sieht auch richtig aus. Vielleicht doch nur eine Fehlinfo auf den Seiten des Bundes? App installiert. Läuft zwar, aber funktioniert nix. Hmmm. Wahrscheinlich irgend eine alte, nicht kompatible Version.
Also nochmal eine Suchmaschine befragt und folgenden rettenden Forumbeitrag gefunden:

Unter Linux Mint einfach in die Kommandozeile gehen und "sudo apt install ausweisapp2" eingeben. 😍

Tried painting a sloth without it turning into green mush. Layered strange shadow colors and fought for fur texture at this size. Honestly kinda proud of how soft it turned out. #sciart #watercolor

Early on, when AI came for quilts, you could tell because it'd use hyper-realistic jewel tone colors in the too perfect to be true designs. Browns and oranges were especially popular, probably because the AI was sucking up images of traditional quilts made with warm color fabrics
That's why I chose this color scheme and made this wallhanging deliberately, overtly wonky. Those are *my* hands and this is *human* crafted

Good morning Fediverse.
It should be a trivial undertaking for someone who knows Mastodon client apps, to build one that stores all your data. If your server goes down, e.g. you used the domain name democracy-now.ve domain name to host it, then the user still has all the data.
Exporting all the data to a new instance could also be a feature ;) I think gotosocial and mitra currently already have import functionalities.
