No longer can you just bake bread...you must start a sourdough side hustle lol. Wanna stay fit and go jogging or running? Nah, you gotta optimize your biometrics for a marathon. What my point is that every hobby has been enshittified and gentrified into a brand opportunity.
This strange infatuation with optimization culture is killing the human spirit.
So this new year, starting tomorrow, one of my resolutions is to do something bad but fun. Maybe I write a terrible poem. I like to draw and paint, so perhaps I will draw a horse that looks like a table or sing off-key in the showers or in front of my loved ones. The algorithm driving the mainstream social media wants me to be a polished product, but my humanity lives in these messy, unoptimized, cringe-inducing joyful failures.
I will try to reclaim the right to be an amateur. Will you join me?

Seit fast einer Woche auf Mastodon und mir wurde gerade erst so richtig bewusst, wie toll es eigentlich ist, dass meine Timeline wirklich mir gehört und nicht von einem angelernten Nutzungsprofil kuratiert wird.
Ich hab mich dabei erwischt, bei Interaktionen schon automatisch an mögliche Auswirkungen auf meinen "Algorithmus" zu denken.
Was für eine Erleichterung!

Like, this is a serious question. A skill isn't vibes, there has to be something that you can actually learn, complete with that connects that skill to output. Maybe the theory behind that skill isn't as rigorous as a scientific theory, but if it's entirely absent, if you have no way of knowing a real skill apart from vibes? Then yeah, you've just got vibes.
For all the bloviating from the boosters about how everyone needs to "learn how to use AI," I have yet to see a single coherent explanation of what it is we're supposed to learn.

鵝掌藤的葉跟花都非常的低調但他的果實色彩非常的棒，超喜歡的❤️
生まれて初めてグランカストマってところでお昼寝した。快活CLUBと異なりドリンクは有料だが、その代はりカレーとうどんが食べ放題といふネット個室&漫画ラウンジ。フリータイム（12時間）で2310円。都内（上野）にしては普通に破格。地下の大浴場とサウナは無料で使ひ放題で、なんとタオルと服もくれる。だがホテルではない。
다음 주는 성적 문의로 이메일이 바쁘겠구나. 그래도 성적 올려 달라는 놈은 성과에 대한 열망이라도 있는 점에서는 긍정적이다.

That was a pretty uneventful affair, which is good. The Cosmic liveslak I tried worked well, a much better experience than before. Furthermore very much up to date, the first patch to version 1 already included. Had only to install grub (included, but not activated) and uninstall some standard liveslak packages. But that goes with every Slackware install, so no biggie. Cosmic-greeter behaves a bit quirky also, but that goes for all Cosmic installs. Next week: tweaking.
