I just have to say this: the NixOS module system is a brilliant piece of work. Once again, it works so well that it feels like magic.
Explanation: I'm splitting my large nixos and home-manager config files into logical units. To do this, you need to use the module system via the imports utility. If I declare a simple text file in an import, and re-declare its content in a subsequent import, the module system knows not to overwrite, but append it. So useful!
And the same applies to attribute sets, and probably other data types (lists?) too! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

It is not a blocking issue, and I don't expect it to be prioritized as it is a big change, low impact, high chance of disruption, just asking to know if I missed something that is not in the documentation/github in order to update my process.
if it matters, I mainly use probe-rs and uart together ( glasgow multi probe-rs --voltage A=3.3 --swclk A0 --swdio A1 ++ uart --rx A7 --tx A6 -a socket tcp:127.0.0.1:8765 ) and I just have to stop the uart applet every time I need to push new code to the microcontroller to avoid probe-rs complaining that the device is busy.
I have been hesitating to say this but the pattern is now so consistent I just have to share the observation: LLM users don't just behave like addicts, not even like gambling addicts. I love reading large threads of people with absolutely zero clue about stuff, and zero historical perspective about how stuff works, but throwing around absolutes like “this thing is unacceptable” or “the project is blocking everybody”. As a newbie, I'm continuing with the #introduction .
The bosses... Moose and Kacang (pronounced KAH-chang not Ka-CHANG).
They came to stay temporarily when my daughter (their "mum") couldn't find accommodation that would permit animals. That was about 4 years ago now, and for one reason or another, they are now permanent, and very welcome, residents in our home.
Moo is the black & white fluffy one and likes reading, and Kacang is the white & black short-hair, and enjoys houseplants.
