Okay, I've finished the slides for my presentation at FOSDEM 2026. Of course, I'll probably keep fine-tuning them until the presentation day, but it's a weight off my shoulders. However, since I have to present in English, I need to practice delivering it in English every day from now until the event.

딥러닝과 사람은 여러의미로 닮은것 같다.
그 중에서 재밌다고 생각하는건, 설명 가능성에 대한 부분이라고 생각한다.
딥러닝도 사람도 개와 고양이를 잘 구분할 수 있지만 왜 둘을 구분할 수 있는지 완벽하게 설명하지는 못한다.

keeping up to date with "AI" skills is extremely easy actually, the most sophisticated setup i've seen is just a bunch of markdown files begging the necrotic grooves left in the statistical skin of language to pretend like they are different character archetypes wrapped by a (n assemblage of) IDE and CLI tools.

the "skill issue" FOMO trap is just a trap and the question was never "whether they work or not" but rather "how they reconfigure the dynamics of informational power by dramatically consolidating it in the owners of informational capital."

I've just published version 2.86 of , the simple, minimalistic instance server written in C. Once again, most of the work has been done by fellow developers because they are the best. It includes the following changes:

Truncate RSS titles at UTF-8 character boundaries (contributed by lxo).

Link contacts to single-user people pages. Also, user's posts are shown (contributed by lxo).

Added emoji reactions (contributed by violette).

Mastodon API: Fix for some client notifications (contributed by violette), fix for a status visibility error (contributed by fruye).

If the query variable terse of a public post page is set to anything, no header is shown.

Fixed search failures when the query string has any leading blank.

これ実家の方にあるなぁ……。
ちなみに建設の際には、頭部を地上で作った後にジャッキアップして下部を順次継ぎ足していくリフトアップ工法（別名：タケノコ工法）だったので、本当に地面から生えてくるように見えてました。

so, i have something important to say. on 9th of December 2025, i woke up to someone who stalked me for eight years being inside my home, finding my address through means that are still not fully clear.

i know that several people reading this have in the past supported her (knowingly or not) or tried to "help" her after they learned of the stalking.

𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩. your goodwill (or sometimes spinelessness) is being exploited. all you're doing is adding to the harm done in the past.

When we design for disabilities, we make things better for everyone. This is called the Curb-Cut Effect. The term was coined by disability students and activists in the 70s, who added curb cuts to the Berkeley sidewalks to make access easier for those in wheelchairs. They discovered those also helped people with strollers, using trolleys for deliveries, etc.

I have exactly one Apple device in my life that I have allowed to update to version 26 aka Liquid Glass and the experience is so horrible everything else I have — which is a lot! — is on hold.

Possibly the biggest degradation in functionally I’ve ever seen, in 30+ years of watching this stuff.
