I'm so delighted that I complied with the Online Safety Act, blocking an accessibility feature on my site from UK users to 'protect the children' while Elon Musk's site can just generate CSAM with total impunity.
Had to dig a bit to get the car to the charger in Lochinver. The roads are mostly clear, but VERY single track, with snow build up on either side, but the car park where the chargers are is an ice rink. I'm knackered from scooping icy snow.

I guess I am gonna fast-track learning the Go programming language and ActivityPub so that I can help #Forgejo adding the planned federation features faster. We really need connected code forges everywhere that work in decentralised ways to have a resilient and sustainable way for Open Source and Free Software to truly stay open and free(ly accessible). If you are already capable and want to do good, beat me to it :)

Недавно, разбирая старые кассеты, я наткнулся на несколько до сих пор рабочих, что пережили десятилетия и дошли до наших дней. Одна из них хранила записи #trance музыки с радио, что делал мой отец в начале нулевых. Этот микс «James Holden feat. Julie Thompson - "Nothing" (93 Returning Mix)» — настоящая легенда прогрессив-транса начала 2000-х. Холден создал глубокое, гипнотическое полотно. Он выделяется «рваным» ритмом, обволакивающим басом и, конечно, реверс, вокалом Джули Томпсон. В отличие от типичного «долбящего» транса того времени, этот трек звучит интеллигентно, меланхолично и невероятно объемно.
Я много лет пытался найти автора, но только с приходом нейросетей смог распознать трек и то с совпадением в 30%.
А ведь это был мой первый осознанный контакт с транс музыкой. Тогда я ещё даже не ходил в школу, но жанр уже резонировал внутри.
Трек был написан Холденом в 2002, записан на кассету моим отцом в 2003, а идентифицирован был мной был в конце 2025.
