Black anger is valid and the denial of Black anger by white people is extremely culturally relevant.

If your response to Black criticism of white activism is to fault the Black person for criticizing instead of reevaluating the activism in the context of a structurally racist power dynamic, that’s fine.

You can be as right and morally justified as you want to be. But what you will not be is safe to a Black person.

so in that sense "outcome", "decision" etc feels a bit limiting that said i'm also using it purely historically so far which is different from what you've been doing. i'm interested in very "move slow" projects where there's a story behind every field and it's worth knowing when altering design

re: latter, i mean that i might want slightly different node types. not sure how customizable it should be. like does each project define its own meta theory. i'm thinking stuff like constraints, rules, design notes, idk. dependencies between invariants. but also layers of abstraction.

Here's to all the open source developers who put hours and hours of their lives into a project they built, put it out into the world, and now it sits with approximately zero users.

Thank you for putting labor into the world to try and help others, even if it's never been recognized.

Brag about your project here if you'd like!

Edit: if you saw this earlier, come back and check out all the cool projects people have shown off since!

The Verge is actually doing it. Actually connecting the dots between the fascistic tendencies of app stores with the profit motives of their proprietors.

FINALLY.

The open web has been roadkill in the profit games the mobile duopoly has set up, muscled out of view with policies and choices that were designed to leave no fingerprints. But we can all see it clearly now:

I saw LLMs compared to a drug in this toot, but in conversation with Himself today we concluded it's like a cursed amulet.

You *believe* it gives you +10 INT. Meanwhile it drains INT and WIS over time, and you don't notice.

Everyone around you knows it's bad for you and generally for the realm, but you won't stop wearing it, they're just jelous of your newfound powers, and they would know how awesome it is if they only tried! Why won't they try? Just try the amulet!!

Today's Search Engine and Hard Fork podcasts were super fun to listen to!!

Excited that @CaseyCasey Newton @kevinKevin Roose and @pj are building their own Mastodon instance called the Forkiverse.

And I absolutely loved the vibe coding experiments Casey and Kevin did to make their own personal web sites (cnewton.org and kevinroose.com)

Feels like we are taking some of the best aspects of the internet we loved and lost and bringing them together with new tech in ways that are incredibly promising for the internet going forward. Bravo.

Must listen.
