アメリカの「ひどさ」を報じる大手メディアはちゃんとあると認識していますが、特にテレビだと「え、なんで他人事の顔して憂いてるの？」といった混乱を覚えます。日本で一体何が起こっているのか、選挙を経て高市政権の今、かなり明確だと思うのだけれど、メディアもそれが「ウケない(稼げない)」から切り捨ててしまっているのかなと膝をつきそうになる。もう全部そこかよ。
日本でもデモは起こっているし、声をあげてプラカードを掲げているひともいる。議員にアクションを起こす団体もいるし、SNSで苦しんでいるひともいる。イスラエルへの抗議デモだってずっと前からすごい。東京の渋谷でも何度もマーチがある。でも一度もテレビで「わたしたち」を見たことがありません。
抵抗の姿をうつさないことは、抵抗の声を透明化することです。アメリカのデモは映せるのに、どうして日本国内の怒りの声には気づかないフリをするのか。その時点で政権寄りだと感じてしまう。
