今天是侄女出世D19，昨晚是中等煩人，我很希望侄女能早點變得規律並且可以睡在自己的床上，但這個世上應該沒有人比我弟妹和弟弟倆人更如此盼望了。早上醒來發現昨晚下了好多雪，我開心地說，終於等來一個有陽光的白天可以踩新雪了，我弟卻說這時候的雪已經被曬融，會變硬，已經不是新雪。不得已，我只好去踩陽台上堆積的雪來感受。鬆鬆軟軟，踩感真的不錯。

今天下午也有客人來訪，客人到達時我正在午睡，雖然弟弟很興奮地問我要不要來給昨晚做的提拉米蘇撒上可可粉？（他知道我想試試那些沒做過的事）但我太睏了就繼續睡而沒有回應他。等我醒來，客人還在，我到客廳驚見一個小孩穿著可愛的衣服坐在地上，大驚問侄女長大了？！大家笑我睡太久，已經好幾個月過去了。原來那是客人的13個月大的小孩。

這次的客人是台灣人夫婦，他們帶著自己的小孩看起來非常快樂。尤其是那個爸爸熱切地訴說養小孩最快樂的是和她一起重新長大，讓我感覺到，啊，現在的爸爸會認為帶小孩是他們的「權利」，而不是痛苦的義務了。

Let's see when the first Forkiverse users realize that it is a centralized project as opposed to the decentralized Fediverse.
Forkiverse has only one server, one instance, and one moderation team.
If users violate the moderation rules and are to be banned from the community, nothing will change if they create an account in the Fediverse, because all other community members will still be in Forkiverse, so the administration can exclude these users.
The problem will only be solved when the various Forkiverse users leave Forkiverse and spread out across different Fediverse servers. Only then will they be able to experience the benefits of decentralization. Until then, it will remain a Twitter-like community tied to a single server.

All I can think of is those scam "X-ray glasses" from the back of the comic books.

Positive side of winter: I can open the window without using a mosquito net, and no mosquitoes invade the room.

Negative side of winter: after five minutes with the window open, I have to close it again if I want to avoid the early stages of freezing.

I haven’t seen this discussed and it confuses me: companies tend to avoid tricky licenses like (A)GPLv3 for legal reasons. Why is there no hesitation to using LLMs to generate code, when we still don’t know whether that is fine under copyright law?

Training an LLM has been ruled fair use in the US. I am not aware of a ruling whether that applies to using it. And if the output of the model isn’t a copyright infringement of the input, then the output cannot be copyrighted because it was not created by a person. So AI-generated software cannot be copyrighted.
